If you won the lottery ...

Am I wrong in thinking that we were not extremely lucky today? What would you have done if you had won the lottery? Any original ideas? If you ask me, I think I might have booked a first-class flight to New York -and there I would have done some serious shopping (well, it would have been books mainly). Some people might ask why all the trouble when you've got Amazon, and they'd be right. Oh, well. Anyway, what about you?

I agree with you. I love books, and I love New York too.
Best wishes from a student who will have a degree in English 3 years from now.
Congratulations for the web site.

If I'd won a lot of dough, well, I'd have bought a little two-storey house (I'd make do with a terraced one)and would have forgotten about renting flats.
Otherwise...I'd have bought a car without waiting for a refund (you know what this is about Martin).
Or else...I'd have booked a few journeys to go and visit my friends scattered around the world.
I'd have also joined the WWF and Greenpeace as a steady member (since at the moment I only donate and "adopt" occasionally).
Last but not least, I'd have given some dough to my mum
